Dr Mindy Pelz Lemon Basil Chia Detox Drink

A refreshing drink to reset your body with bright lemon flavor, aromatic basil, and satisfying chia seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 to 16 oz cold water
  • Juice of 1 lemon (or 2 tbsp bottled lemon juice)
  • 6 to 10 basil leaves, gently torn
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Optional: a few ice cubes or a thin slice of ginger

Instructions

  1. Add everything to a big glass or jar.
  2. Stir really well.
  3. Wait 5 minutes and stir again so the chia does not clump.
  4. Sip and enjoy!
  5. If you have time, let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes for a thicker consistency.

Notes

This drink is great for hydrating and curbing cravings. Fresh basil offers the best flavor.
