Dr Jason Fung Bone Broth Fasting Recipes

Five flavorful bone broth recipes to support your intermittent fasting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups hot bone broth
  • 4 thin slices fresh ginger
  • squeeze of lime
  • pinch of salt
  • optional chili flakes
  • 2 cups bone broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • small pinch black pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups bone broth
  • 1 small smashed garlic clove
  • dried thyme or rosemary
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups bone broth
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups bone broth
  • chili paste or hot sauce (tiny amount)
  • splash of coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • pinch of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Warm the broth, steep the ginger 3 to 5 minutes, then squeeze in lime right before drinking.
  2. Heat broth, whisk in turmeric and pepper, sip slowly.
  3. Simmer garlic and herbs in the broth for 5 minutes, then strain if you want it super smooth.
  4. Heat broth first, then stir in vinegar off the heat.
  5. Warm broth, stir in seasonings gradually. Taste as you go.
