- 1 tablespoon dried barberries
- 2 cups water
- Mint leaves
- 1–2 lemon slices
- 1 cup sparkling water
- 1 tablespoon barberry concentrate
- Squeeze of orange
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon barberries
- 1½ cups water
- Small cinnamon stick
- Optional ginger slice
- 1 cup barberries
- 3 cups water
- 1–2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup plain kefir
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup warm barberry tea
- 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
- Lemon slice
Instructions
- Rinse the barberries. Simmer in 1 cup water for 3-4 minutes, then cool. Pour over ice, add the rest of the water, and toss in mint and lemon.
- Pour concentrate into a glass, add sparkling water slowly, squeeze orange, and add a pinch of salt.
- Simmer everything (barberries, water, and cinnamon stick) for 6 minutes, strain, and sip.
- Simmer barberries and water on low for 10 minutes, cool, blend, and strain.
- Mix barberry concentrate, apple cider vinegar, and cold water. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Stir barberry concentrate with kefir and water, then pour over ice.
- Sprinkle gelatin into warm barberry tea, stir, then chill until slightly thick.
Notes
Barberries can be fussy; rinse quickly without soaking, warm gently, balance tartness, and strain if desired for a smooth drink.
